Home & Family

Our home in the beautiful Ozarks is a gathering place for our ever-growing large family. We are blessed with many grandchildren, laughter, and a lot of noise when we get together! When I am not enjoying the exuberance of our family gatherings, I can be found writing and reviewing curriculum, building my businesses, gathering eggs from the chicken coop, hatching guinea eggs, and homeschooling my boys. My husband and I enjoy short walks, and long conversations with coffee in hand. Scrapbook weekends in the company of good friends offer time in prayer, contemplation, and thankfulness as I enjoy the memories of past blessings and experiences. We are thankful for the life the Lord has allowed us to live!

Faith

I have known Jesus as my Lord and Savior since I was young. I cannot remember when I didn’t communicate with God in prayer. As a young child, I connected with God as Father. As I became aware of my sinful nature, Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection took on significant, deep, and personal meaning as I accepted His payment as the sole source of my salvation. As I grew in years and faith, the work of the Holy Spirit became life to me. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit continue to work in my life daily. The process of sanctification will continue until I cross over into the presence of my God. It has been my prayer that my immediate and extended family would accept the free gift of salvation. It is truly the blessed hope of the church that we will see those in Christ once again. It is my passion to share the Gospel message that all might believe.

My prayer is Psalm 71:18.

So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come.” (ESV)

Education Philosophy

As an experienced home educator, curriculum developer, and author, I know the importance of keeping these three things in mind:

  • Your student is a unique individual created by God for a special purpose.

  • You are the best teacher your student will ever have.

  • You are handpicked and equipped by God to raise up a Godly generation.

  • You need a Biblical, effective, easy-to-implement, and flexible curriculum to prepare your student to be all their Creator intended.

It is an honor to come alongside your family on a journey of wonder and praise. May your family grow in faith and love for our Creator and His Word, creating an eternal impact for generations to come..

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6
